Ghost of Christmases Past

Charles Dickens faced financial troubles right before he wrote one of the most popular holiday classic stories. A new book by Les Standiford, The Man Who Invented Christmas: How Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol Rescued his Career and Revived our Holiday Spirit, has been selling well during these sad economic times.

This bit of information makes the book even more relevant, with its message of family harmony, hope, friendship, charity and the true meaning of Christmas.

As Tiny Tim says, "God bless us, everyone!"
