Goodbye Grasshopper

One of my earliest childhood memories was watching Kung Fu with my family. Even back then I wanted to become a Shaolin Master with Kwai Chang Caine's wisdom and calm.

I am saddened to hear about the passing of David Carradine.

I read reports that he OD on drugs. The circumstances of his death lessened my sympathy for his passing.

Ops, I stand corrected. I was thinking of another actor that OD on drugs. Therefore I take back what I said earlier.

A life is still a life, a death is still a death, no matter the circumstances.

That's where we differ my friend. I have no problem rejoicing the death of a killer/criminal/terrorist at all. Also, I probably would not grief the death of a idiot who brought death upon himself. Does that make me a bad person or just very logical/pragmatic?

I only honor writers, actors, musicians and other talents we've lost. I have no sympathy for criminals or terrorists. But even terrorists, serial killers, suicides have friends and family who mourn their deaths.

As for people who kill themselves, especially those with mental illnesses, we don't know what's going on in their brains. So until we walk a mile in their shoes, we cannot sit in judgment.
